Special Board Meeting

June 13, 2019

The Special Board Meeting was called to order by Village of Clyman President Marty Pint at 7:00 PM with Trustees Todd Grady, Amanda Swanson, Mike Zwieg, Beth Baehmann, Village of Clyman Attorney Katherine Koepsell, and citizen Mike Nehls.

Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Discussion/Action regarding Ceiling Ball LLC. Conditional Use Permit at 942 Main St: Attorney Koepsell advised she received a phone call Mr. Raffaelli as well as Mr. Siegel, and they both indicated they were not intending to contest the non-renewal of The Hardware Store’s Liquor License. The hearing is set for next Wednesday the 18th.  Mr. Raffaelli was concerned that the Board should be acting on the Conditional Use Permit before that surrender, which is part of the reason we called the special meeting for tonight.   Mr. Raffaelli and Mr. Siegel have signed a voluntary surrender of the liquor license, the physical license is not here yet, Mr. Siegel will drop that off by Connie when he returns to WI.  Attorney Koepsell advised the one thing she added under condition # 2 on the Conditional Use Permit was any and all liquor license or any other live entertainment license pertaining to the property shall be voluntarily surrendered or surrendered upon issuance of a building permit.   The liquor license has been surrendered, now the Board needs to act on the Conditional use Permit. Beth said her and Todd are part of the Plan Commission and these are the recommendations of the Plan Commission and she would make a motion to go ahead and grant the Conditional Use Permit to 942 Main St. as written.  Amanda seconded the motion.  Roll Call vote was taken and recorded as follows: Amanda yes, Todd yes, Mike Yes, Beth yes, Marty yes.  Motion carried Conditional Use Permit is granted as written to 942 Main St.

Discussion/action on furnace for Village Hall:  The furnace went out at the village Hall.  We got one quote M&S Fabrication for replacing the furnace. Beth had Replacement Specialist come in to get another quote he suggested a two-stage furnace instead of single stage, will cost more but will keep the temperature better regulated and be warmer.  Marty will call Richter heating and air conditioning to get another quote.  Table this till more quotes come in.

A motion to adjourn by Amanda/Beth, motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 7:14 PM.
