Comprehensive Plan Meeting
July 30, 2009 - 6:00 PM
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Laurel Finger at 6:04 PM.
Attendees: Eric Martin, Barb Klingbeil, Jackie Tollefson, Milton Kuenzi, Joe Roberts, Laurel Finger and Rob Roth of General Engineering.
Motion by Joe/Milton to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried.
Visioning Session Review - Rob went over the visioning session minutes. Discussion held on the Town of Clyman survey that has been prepared and sent out to their residents. Comments were made about the statement in the Town survey about the Village annexing land from the town. Review of our survey gone over. Discussion held on the Lion's hall and how the lions came to take over the hall. It was decided to include the village survey with the utility bill mailing and give residents two weeks to return the survey so that we can get it back for review in time for the next meeting.
Land Use Element - These elements should follow along with what most other communities are doing and that will establish a pattern in land use that meets the goals of the community. Rob went through the objectives and policies. The rezoning of Main Street was discussed.
Intergovernmental Element - Encourage coordination and cooperation with neighboring communities and local, state and federal agencies.
Implementation Element - This is an action oriented element to see how we will actually get this plan going. This would get our plan close to implementation.
A sign will be put in the post office that additional copies of the survey will be available at the Clerk's office.
Discussion held on when to hold the inter-governmental meeting. The next meeting will be dependent upon whether the town can do an intergovernmental meeting.
Motion by Milton/Jackie to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.
